Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join our product team. In this role, you will manage, optimize, and secure both relational and non-relational databases that support our products. You will work closely with Product Managers, Developers, and other stakeholders to ensure database systems meet performance, scalability, and data integrity requirements, while aligning with the product's vision and user needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain database systems (relational and non-relational) to support product requirements.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and development teams to align database design with product features and goals.
• Optimize database performance for high-demand applications, ensuring low latency and high availability.
• Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot database performance issues in production and development environments.
• Implement and enforce database security policies to protect sensitive product data.
• Design and manage backup and recovery strategies to ensure data resilience.
• Work with developers to optimize queries and database access patterns for efficiency.
• Manage database deployments, migrations, and upgrades across different environments.
• Document database architectures, processes, and standards for future reference.

Requirements

• Experience: 4+ years as a Database Administrator, preferably in a product-focused environment.
• Technical Skills:
• Expertise in relational databases such as MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency with non-relational databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, or Azure Cosmos DB.
• Strong knowledge of SQL query optimization and indexing strategies.
• Experience with database replication, clustering, and partitioning techniques.
• Familiarity with cloud-based database services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Amazon RDS).
• Knowledge of data modeling and schema design principles.

• English fluency as well is necessary.
