Database Administrator - MS SQL Server & PostgreSQL

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to manage and optimize MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. In this role, you'll work with cloud and hybrid environments (AWS/Azure), implement disaster recovery strategies, and automate database maintenance tasks. Key Responsibilities:

• Administer, optimize, and maintain MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases for high availability and performance.
• Manage databases in hybrid cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and AWS RDS, ensuring smooth operation and integration.
• Implement Always On Availability Groups (AAG) and develop disaster recovery strategies to ensure database uptime and integrity.
• Monitor, analyze, and fine-tune database performance. Automate routine database maintenance tasks to improve efficiency.
• Design and maintain data warehousing solutions, SSIS packages, and ETL processes for data integration and reporting.

Experience & Skills Required:

• 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience managing MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases
• Expertise in hybrid cloud (AWS/Azure) and AWS RDS environments.
• Strong knowledge of Always On Availability Groups (AAG) and backup/recovery strategies
• Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
• Familiarity with data warehousing, SSIS, and ETL processes.

• Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with cloud-based database migrations and DevOps practices.

  • Familiarity with Redgate tools, SQL Compare, and BI tools like Tableau and Jasper.
