KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Deal Desk & Commercial Governance
- Support APAC Deal Desk review activities, opportunity intake, and deal triage.
- Evaluate pricing proposals, deal structures, contract terms, discounting, volume assumptions, and commercial trade-offs.
- Monitor deal review triggers and ensure opportunities follow the appropriate governance path.
- Prepare concise analysis and recommendation materials for Deal Desk, Deal Council, and commercial leadership review.
- Partner with Sales and Account Management to improve proposal quality, assumption rigor, and commercial readiness.
- Help improve deal review cadence, approval workflows, regional responsiveness, and overall commercial process discipline.
2. Pricing Recommendations & Pricing Analysis
- Develop pricing recommendations for new business, renewals, package proposals, and strategic customer opportunities.
- Analyze rate realization, discounting behavior, customer economics, willingness-to-pay indicators, and competitive context.
- Maintain and improve pricing benchmarks, review thresholds, and pricing guidance used in commercial evaluations.
- Support package and subscription pricing initiatives that improve recurring revenue quality and reduce unnecessary fee-level negotiation.
- Identify pricing risks, outliers, and opportunities to improve value capture across the APAC portfolio.
- Translate pricing analysis into clear commercial recommendations for non-technical audiences.
3. Commercial Finance & Deal Modeling
- Build, review, and validate ROI models used during customer negotiations and deal approvals.
- Assess margin performance, revenue mix, term length, annual price increases, forecast assumptions, and implementation economics.
- Conduct scenario analysis to compare alternative commercial structures and identify risks to Aven’s financial targets.
- Support deal-over-deal and post-implementation lookback analyses to evaluate whether deal assumptions are converting into revenue outcomes.
- Partner with Finance to align deal recommendations with revenue recognition, expense assumptions, margin expectations, and financial guardrails.
- Document assumptions and create repeatable analytical approaches to improve consistency across reviews.
4. KPI Management & Business Performance
- Help manage Deal Desk and Pricing KPIs across deal quality, pricing effectiveness, operational effectiveness, and financial performance.
- Track metrics such as contribution margin, price realization, average discount to list, ACV per room, term length, deal turnaround time, subscription deal mix, package adoption, and bookings-to-revenue conversion.
- Support reporting on contracted rate movement, effective net revenue rates, product penetration, customer revenue growth, rate / volume mix, and FX exposure for non-USD contracts.
- Partner with Business Intelligence and Commercial teams to improve KPI definitions, data quality, reporting cadence, and actionable insight generation.
- Use KPI trends to identify process gaps, pricing leakage, forecast accuracy issues, and opportunities for commercial improvement.
5. Continuous Improvement & Cross-Functional Partnership
- Identify opportunities to simplify tools, pricing workflows, approval processes, and commercial documentation.
- Support improvements to Salesforce, ROI tooling, deal review templates, pricing records, and approval routing.
- Provide feedback to Product, Finance, and Commercial leadership based on recurring deal patterns and customer negotiation themes.
- Contribute to the transition from legacy transaction pricing toward more scalable package and subscription pricing models.
- Build trusted partnerships with regional and global stakeholders through clear communication, responsiveness, and analytical credibility.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Analytics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Deal Desk, Commercial Finance, Pricing, Revenue Operations, FP&A, Sales Operations, Consulting, or a comparable analytical function.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, and structured analytical outputs.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including comfort evaluating margin, revenue drivers, pricing assumptions, and deal economics.
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations for Sales, Finance, Product, and executive stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise executive-ready materials.
- High attention to detail, strong ownership, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort working across time zones and partnering with regional commercial teams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience supporting APAC commercial teams or regional deal review processes.
- SaaS, hospitality technology, travel technology, distribution, CRS, PMS, RMS, or related industry experience.
- Experience with Salesforce, CPQ, pricing tools, ROI tools, or commercial approval workflows.
- Exposure to subscription-based pricing models, package pricing, or recurring revenue businesses.
- Experience maintaining pricing benchmarks, KPI reporting, or commercial governance frameworks.
- Experience using AI tools to improve productivity, analysis, synthesis, and executive communication.
