Delivery Manager
Summary
Lead application delivery from Minfy's Hyderabad center, managing technical delivery of mission-critical software platforms. Drives Agile/Scrum cadences, DevOps/CI-CD execution, public-cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) architectures, and cross-functional stakeholder management for digital transformation programs.
We are looking for a strong and hands on Delivery Manager – Agile & DevOps who will spearhead application delivery from Hyderabad delivery center.
This critical leadership role is responsible for the technical delivery of application development projects including team management for mission-critical servicing applications. The responsibility includes overall technical vision, building capabilities, planning application roadmap along with strong execution.
This leader will also be responsible to work directly with the technology and business stakeholders in the organization to shape strategy from a technical standpoint and drive delivery of that vision.
The candidate must have excellent platform instincts, strong relationship management and communication skills coupled with a passion for business, technology while delivering a world-class customer experience. The candidate should have strong data-driven analytical skills and be able to operate and thrive with partial information and ambiguity and have a track record of building successful teams.
An ideal candidate will have an expansive background in application development with at least 10 years demonstrated work experience, strong business judgment, strong relationship building skills, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to resolve conflicts and set priorities.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects technical delivery of software platforms and services supporting servicing applications including, technical solutions, resource management, capacity management, knowledge management. Own delivery regardless of where responsibility lies.
- Manage the on-time and on-budget delivery process of AES and including the deliverable budget, overseeing the creation of all files listed on the delivery schedule.
- Collaborate with Post Management peers and other departments to support cross-team processes and initiatives.
- Continuously partner with business and technical partners to deliver and mature the application roadmap
- Enforce and improve existing Agile operating processes; Gain buy-in for operational strategies working with key partners
- Work with the Business & Project teams to operationalize workflows – establish transparent routines and processes (e.g., project prioritization, review/approval processes, testing and validation) designed to effectively deploy resources.
- Perform source code reviews, solve technical problems, identify innovative solutions to project deadlocks, resolve issues and constraints through consensus and sound judgment.
- Take responsibility for making project decisions, achieving tactical goals while retaining a strategic focus.
- Work closely with the technology teams and play a key role in architecture and design discussions while leading the development teams
- Manage and coach the teams to be more pro-active and self-sufficient; Set up KPIs for team leads/ team members and evaluate performance in alignment with the organization framework.
- Represent team interests with senior leadership fairly and objectively.
- Drive process and technical innovation to support customer needs.
- Contribute towards establishing technical delivery specifications. · Oversee projects in various stages of delivery.
Technical Skills:
- Technology Delivery (Strong understanding and hands-on experience is must) Weightage 60-70%.
- Strong understanding / work experience in Digital transformation & Application Modernization projects.
- Good understanding & experience working in AWS /Azure /GCP or any of the public cloud is must.
- Agile / scrum: Lead teams through the Agile cadence that includes daily scrum with the project teams, Three Amigos, overall sprint planning, backlog management, in sprint development and testing.
- Lead retros in collaboration with project teams while focusing on continuous improvement.
- System design: Deep understanding of the subtleties involved in design decisions and their effect on the big picture. In-depth understanding of enterprise architecture.
- Thorough understanding of DevOps tool kit and related execution through the CI/CD cycle is required.
- Delivery Management Weightage 30-40%.
- Relationship management, stakeholder Management and communications aspects are critical to this role.
- All operational aspects of delivery · Team metrics management.
Basic Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience building new age technology teams in agile models and working directly with business and IT stakeholders in a leadership role
- 15+ years of hands-on application development work experience, including minimum of 5 years of leadership experience
- Must have a comprehensive understanding of the technical and delivery impact from decisions affecting domain scope, staffing, technology, and calendarization of deliverables
- Experience shaping technical products or services
- Demonstrated ability to define, prioritize and deliver best in class software service products
- Ability to think strategically and to stay on top of tactical execution
- Capacity to develop and maintain comprehensive set of technical plans
- The ability to succeed in a cross-matrixed organization that relies on building support in other groups
- Ability to adapt to shifting goals and activities; Ability to manage multiple activities in parallel
- Self-starter with the ability to define goals and strategies with minimal management oversight
- Willingness to take risks to develop a technology in unchartered waters, ambition to set a new technical standard
