Design Project Manager
Job – Design Projects Manager
Oversee design projects and ensure completion on time, within budget, and according to company standards.
Support project prioritization, management reporting, financial reporting, resource planning, and decision-making.
Supervise Senior Project Managers and Project Managers.
Ensure successful implementation of PMO strategy, responsibilities, services, and deliverables.
Monitor program reporting and support reporting to senior management and stakeholders.
Prioritize tasks, set deadlines, and allocate resources across projects.
Analyze project financials, including budgets, resource allocation, and risk assessment.
Coordinate cross-functional programs and projects through completion.
Ensure complete project documentation, including scope, budget, resources, and justification.
Establish project and program management frameworks, standards, KPIs, and financial reporting.
Monitor financial performance and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
Coordinate project closeout and capture lessons learned.
Define and implement project governance and controls.
Manage project planning, milestones, scope, resource forecasting, financial management, and change management across the project portfolio.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Master's degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Professional certifications in relevant design disciplines are an advantage.
- Minimum 20 years of experience in design-related engineering roles.
- Minimum 10 years in a leadership role.
- Strong theoretical background in PMO principles, architectural engineering, mega projects, and modern design practices.
- Experience in project planning, cost estimation, manpower estimation, value engineering, QA/QC, LEED, health & safety is preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Primavera, Microsoft Word, Excel, and MS Office.
- Knowledge of presentation and animation software.
- PMP certification is preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and project lifecycle.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate and influence stakeholders at all management levels.
- Proficient in English.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Ability to work overtime when required.
