DevOps Engineer
You will define and implement the infrastructure tools and practices that power production systems. You will lead the migration from Digital Ocean to AWS and design scalable, secure systems. You will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, manage Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration, and implement monitoring, logging, and alerting. You will ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and performance, collaborate with engineers across the stack, and perform hands-on engineering tasks as needed in a fast-paced startup environment.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement infrastructure tools and practices
- Lead cloud migration from Digital Ocean to AWS
- Design scalable, secure, and reliable systems
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Manage containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
- Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and global scalability
- Collaborate with backend and frontend engineers and leadership
- Perform hands-on engineering and troubleshooting tasks as needed
Requirements
- Experience designing and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS or DigitalOcean
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools such as GitHub Actions
- Strong Linux/Ubuntu system administration and web server configuration skills
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to operate in an early-stage, fast-moving startup and wear multiple hats
