Digital Media Designer

POSITION SUMMARY

We're looking for a designer who can own creative for our commercial engine and also jump into product design when the team needs it. This is a hybrid role: most of your time goes into marketing and sales-facing creative (video, social, campaign assets, sales decks), and a smaller slice goes into UI/UX work inside the product — wireframes, prototypes, and design system upkeep.

You'll be the only dedicated designer supporting Growth, so you need to be comfortable owning the full pipeline from brief to final asset, working directly with marketing and sales without a big commercial design team around you. On the product side, you won't be on your own — you'll collaborate with senior designers on the product/engineering team on wider projects, and lean on them to build up your UI/UX skills and workflows over time.

Time split: ~80% commercial (marketing + sales), ~20% product (UI/UX), though priorities shift at times

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Commercial — Primary (~80%)

  • Own creative production for paid ads, landing pages, blog assets, and campaign creative across web and social channels
  • Design and edit video: product demo videos, feature snippet videos, social/ad video, and marketing motion graphics
  • Build sales-facing assets: pitch decks, sales presentations, one-pagers, and deal-support collateral
  • Maintain the marketing design system/style guide and keep visual output consistent across channels
  • Partner directly with growth, content, and sales to turn briefs into finished assets on tight timelines
  • Use AI generation tools (Midjourney, Veo, Adobe Firefly, or similar) to speed up ideation and production of marketing visuals and video, without dropping brand quality

Product — Secondary (~20%)

  • Support UI/UX work inside the product as needed: wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for admin dashboards, web, and app surfaces
  • Contribute to and maintain design tokens/components in Figma so product and marketing systems stay aligned
  • Use AI-assisted design tools (Figma AI or similar copilots) to speed up prototyping and iteration
  • Join design reviews with the product team and fold feedback into iterations
  • Flag UX debt or inconsistencies when you spot them, even outside formal review cycles
  • Collaborate with the two senior product/engineering designers on wider product projects, using it as a chance to build up your UI/UX skills and workflows over time

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 3+ years as a digital/media designer, product designer, or a mix of both — open to range in background if the portfolio shows it
  • Portfolio showing marketing/brand creative (video, social, campaign work) and UI/UX work (wireframes, prototypes) — or strong depth in one plus clear ability to ramp on the other
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) for video and graphic production
  • Proficient in Figma (Auto Layout, Components, Variants) for UI/UX and design systems work
  • Real, hands-on use of AI tools in your workflow:
    • AI image/video generation (Midjourney, Veo, Adobe Firefly, or similar) for marketing asset production
    • AI-assisted UI/UX tools (Figma AI or similar design copilots) for prototyping and iteration
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities — we don't have a big design team or a fixed playbook for every request
  • Experience building sales-facing materials (decks, presentations) is a strong plus
  • Familiar with collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence, or Miro
  • Strong written and verbal English for a remote, distributed team

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

  • Experience at a B2B SaaS or dev-tools company, gaming-adjacent a plus
  • Motion graphics depth (After Effects) if you lean more commercial
  • UX research experience if you lean more product
  • Experience running a single design system shared across marketing and product surfaces
