Direct Support Professional (AT-JD)

Indera (formerly ARISE/EFR) is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide Community Habilitation services to a woman in her late 30’s in Fulton, NY.

The individual is looking for a dedicated staff to provide her with support and assist her with maintaining her independence both at home and in community settings. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to assisting with transportation, support during community outings/events, and assistance with increasing independent living skills. The individual benefits from someone who can encourage and support her to explore new activities and interests.

We are looking for individuals who are dependable, patient, enthusiastic and that can provide clear and direct expectations of services. DSP should feel comfortable participating in physical activities, trying new experiences, and helping her explore activities of her interest. Applicants must be comfortable working around dogs and cats. A love for Karaoke is a plus!

Reliable transportation, valid NYS driver’s license and a HS diploma/GED are required. All new hires must complete a five-hour initial training course online; the training rate is $17/hour.

Pay Rate: $24/hour

Hours: Part Time; No early morning; Days and Times to be determined for the right fit. Up to 15 hours per week.
