Self-Direction DSP - Mattydale Area (Job #ES-NH)

We are looking for an engaging and FUN Direct support professional to work with a young lady with a developmental disability who is in the Mattydale area. She is fun, smart and loves a wide variety of activities. In this role, you will provide support while working on independent living skills and assisting her to be more involved in community activities. The ideal candidate will have effective communication, be compassionate, and must be reliable. Candidates must have their own vehicle and a valid driver's license is required. Experience with Autism is preferred.

Hours: Looking for flexibility, roughly twice a week. Mainly day hours.

Pay rate: $20/hour, reimbursements for mileage and staff activity fees

(Pending state approval the payrate will be changing to $24 per hour)

Location: Mattydale, NY

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work independently in the person's home and/or community.
• Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills
• Experience working with people with Autism is preferred.
• New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community.
