Direct Support Professional - Syracuse, NY

Advocates, Inc. is seeking a Mentor (DSP/1:1 support staff) to work with a friendly and social young man with a disability. He is looking for someone to assist him with increasing his safety awareness and independent living skills. He enjoys physical fitness activities such as kayaking, riding bikes, hiking, and swimming.

The ideal candidate is friendly, caring, reliable, engaging, and enjoys helping others.

Reliable transportation is required. Background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check with be conducted prior to hiring. Hours and days of work available

Saturdays: 10am - 12/1:00pm

Pay rate: $23/hour when providing direct support. The hourly rate for indirect/training is $16/hour.

Location: Syracuse, NY
