E-commerce Manager [CCP for Retail Professionals & Associates]
- Develop and execute the e-commerce strategy and annual digital trading plan to drive online revenue, customer acquisition and engagement.
- Develop and manage the e-commerce promotional calendar, ensuring online activities support overall business objectives while offering relevant and compelling digital experiences.
- Plan and optimize website merchandising, product placement, featured products, landing pages and navigation to maximize online visibility and conversion.
- Work closely with the Marketing, Merchandising and Store Operations teams to ensure consistent omnichannel campaigns and customer experiences across online and offline channels.
- Identify opportunities to integrate online, in-store, social media and livestream activities to drive traffic and sales across channels.
- Manage the end-to-end execution of e-commerce campaigns, from campaign setup and online mechanics to post-campaign evaluation. Ensure all online campaigns, product information, pricing, promotions and visuals are accurately reflected on the e-commerce platform.
- Monitor and analyze key e-commerce KPIs, including online sales, traffic, conversion rate, average order value, customer acquisition, bounce rate and cart abandonment.
- Establish and track e-commerce performance targets and KPIs, identifying opportunities and areas requiring improvement.
- Analyze customer behavior and online shopping patterns to identify opportunities to improve conversion, basket size and customer retention.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and translate data insights into specific actions to improve website and campaign performance.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of online promotions, digital campaigns and website initiatives, and recommend improvements based on performance results.
- Prepare regular e-commerce performance reports and present key findings, opportunities and recommendations to management.
- Analyze e-commerce market trends, industry developments and digital consumer behavior to identify emerging opportunities and changes in online demand.
- Monitor online shopping patterns, search trends, traffic and engagement to anticipate shifts in customer interests and purchasing behavior.
- Utilize e-commerce data, historical performance and forecasting techniques to identify future demand, growth opportunities and potential risks.
- Translate trend findings and forecasts into recommendations for online product focus, promotional themes and campaign opportunities.
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in E-commerce, Digital Marketing, Marketing, Business, Retail Management or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant e-commerce/digital trading experience, preferably with 2 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
- Proven experience in developing e-commerce strategies, digital trading plans, promotional calendars and online campaigns.
- Strong knowledge of website merchandising, online promotions, conversion optimization and omnichannel customer experiences.
- Strong analytical skills with experience tracking and interpreting e-commerce KPIs and translating data into actionable business recommendations.
- Strong project management, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercially driven with a proven ability to grow online revenue, traffic, conversion and customer engagement.
- Experience in retail, consumer or lifestyle businesses, as well as social commerce/livestreaming, will be an advantage.
