Electrical Engineer Draftsman

We are looking for an experienced electrical engineer / electrical draftsman / MEP BIM modeller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in electrical drafting and BIM modelling, with hands-on proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit and a solid understanding of MEP systems.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical drawings, layouts, shop drawings and technical documentation.
• Develop and modify electrical models using Revit MEP.
• Prepare 2D drawings and technical details using AutoCAD.
• Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, structural and other MEP disciplines.
• Develop and maintain BIM models in accordance with project requirements.
• Review drawings and models for accuracy, coordination and compliance with project specifications.
• Identify and resolve design clashes using BIM coordination workflows.
• Prepare electrical layouts including lighting, power, containment and other related systems.
• Coordinate with engineers, consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Ensure drawings and models are updated according to project revisions.
• Support project teams with technical drawings, quantity information and documentation as required.

Requirements

• Degree / diploma in electrical engineering, electrical design, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an electrical engineer, electrical draftsman, MEP BIM modeller or similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
• Good understanding of electrical building services and MEP coordination.
• Experience preparing electrical shop drawings and detailed layouts.
• Experience working with BIM models and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and project specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• UAE / GCC project experience will be an advantage.
