Our client is an established manufacturer of power electronics and control systems for the wind energy sector, with a growing engineering site near Kraków. We are looking for an Electrical Engineer / Test Engineer to join their OPS Engineering team.
In this role you will design, develop, test, and maintain electrical systems and test equipment -making sure they operate safely, efficiently, and reliably while meeting technical, regulatory, and customer requirements.
You will sit at the intersection of hardware design and validation: building the test infrastructure for electrical cabinets, verifying prototypes, and feeding your findings back into product design alongside the NPI engineering team. It is a hands-on position with real influence on product quality.
What You Will Do:
- Design test systems for electrical cabinets.
- Supervise the construction of test stands.
- Test prototypes of electrical cabinets and validate design assumptions.
- Create sequences for continuity tests.
- Prepare and maintain the infrastructure supporting test systems.
- Supervise and maintain electrical equipment on the shop floor.
- Liaise with the operations team - analyse test results and support warranty issue resolution.
- Collaborate with NPI engineering during the early stages of product design.
- Maintain direct technical contact with customers.
Requirements
- Degree in electrical engineering, electronics, or power engineering.
- Approximately 5 years of experience in a comparable engineering or test engineering role.
- Confident reading and interpretation of technical documentation and electrical diagrams.
- Solid practical electrical skills - multimeter, oscilloscope, soldering, and related bench work.
- Strong analytical thinking and a structured approach to troubleshooting.
- Genuine team player who communicates clearly with engineering and operations alike.
- Able to drive results across organisational boundaries and keep multiple stakeholders aligned.
- English at a communicative level (daily technical collaboration and customer contact).
Nice to Have:
- Hands-on experience in test automation of equipment.
- NI measurement hardware and data acquisition (DAQ) systems.
- Practical knowledge of the test toolchain used on site: NI LabVIEW - test system development; NI TestStand - test sequencing and execution; C# - custom tooling and test application development.
Benefits
- Full-time employment contract (umowa o pracę) in a hybrid working model.
- A hands-on engineering role with direct ownership of test systems and equipment.
- Close cooperation with NPI engineering and influence on product design from the earliest stages.
- Direct customer contact and visible impact on product quality and reliability.
- A stable, technically mature engineering environment in the renewable energy sector.
