At Volvo Group Australia, we're transforming the future of transport through innovation, connectivity and sustainable solutions. As an Embedded Systems Integration & Verification Engineer, you'll play a key role in bringing next-generation truck technology to life by integrating, testing and validating the software that powers our vehicles.

Working across both Volvo and Mack platforms, you'll collaborate with global engineering teams while working hands-on with some of the industry's most advanced vehicle technologies.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, working with complex systems and seeing their work make a real impact on products used around the world.

As part of our Electronics & Vehicle Connectivity team, you'll:

  • Contribute to the integration of globally developed systems and embedded software solutions for our local products and applications.
  • Execute software verification and validation activities at system and vehicle level.
  • Perform software downloads, configuration and release activities.
  • Diagnose issues, conduct root cause analysis and resolve integration challenges.
  • Support functional safety and quality requirements throughout the integration process.
  • Work closely with engineering teams across Australia, Sweden, the USA and Brazil.
  • Contribute to the delivery of new vehicle programs and technology upgrades.


Who are you?

We're looking for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of software and hardware and has a passion for solving technical challenges.

You'll ideally bring:

  • A degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics or Embedded Software Engineering.
  • Experience in embedded software integration, verification or systems engineering.
  • Experience troubleshooting embedded systems and performing root cause analysis.
  • Exposure to automotive, heavy vehicle or other embedded technology environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively across global teams.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities.
  • Experience with ISO 26262, Automotive SPICE, diagnostics, ECU programming or software configuration management will be highly regarded, but isn't essential.
