Cybersecurity Operations –Threat Intelligence E4
Core Responsibilities
- Gather, monitor, and analyze intelligence from OSINT, commercial threat intelligence feeds, dark web sources, internal telemetry, and industry intelligence sources to identify relevant cyber threats.
- Research, assess, and track threat actors, APT groups, malware campaigns, ransomware operations, vulnerabilities, and emerging attack trends targeting the organization.
- Identify, analyze, and maintain indicators of compromise (IoCs), adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and threat actor activity using frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
- Produce actionable threat intelligence reports, risk assessments, alerts, executive summaries, and threat briefings for security teams and business stakeholders.
- Provide intelligence support to Security Operations, Threat Hunting, Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, and investigative functions to improve detection and response capabilities.
- Conduct intelligence-driven vulnerability monitoring and prioritization by leveraging threat intelligence feeds, security advisories, CISA KEV, exploit intelligence, PoC repositories, and adversary activity.
- Assess and communicate the impact of threats, vulnerabilities, and cyber risks affecting critical business assets, services, and operations.
- Monitor and investigate digital risks including brand impersonation, credential exposure, phishing campaigns, fraudulent domains, and dark web activity targeting the organization.
- Support crisis management, major security incidents, and business continuity activities by providing timely threat assessments and operational intelligence.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve threat intelligence processes, intelligence requirements, collection plans, workflows, and documentation.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, industry partners, intelligence vendors, information-sharing communities, and law enforcement partners to enhance situational awareness and threat coverage.
- Deliver clear, concise, and decision-oriented intelligence briefings to leadership and cross-functional teams, enabling risk-informed security and business decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing advanced cybersecurity strategies to safeguard digital assets, including establishing security protocols and deploying defense mechanisms
- Conducting comprehensive security assessments, penetration testing, and audits to identify vulnerabilities, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate cybersecurity best practices into system design and development, providing secure coding guidance
- Monitoring network traffic and system logs for unusual activity, responding to security incidents with incident response plans and stakeholder coordination
- Staying informed on emerging cybersecurity threats, proactively recommending security posture enhancements, and evaluating new security technologies
- Mentoring team members, setting performance standards within project groups, and guiding less experienced engineering staff
- Utilizing expertise in network protocols, secure routing, and network device security across vendors and devices, including SDN and network automation
- Preparing comprehensive vulnerability assessment reports, tracking findings, and working variable schedules as necessary to maintain security systems
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
