Engineer III - Civil Design

An exciting opportunity is available to join Gewalt Hamilton Associates (GHA), an employee-owned, multi-faceted civil engineering and land surveying company that has built a reputation of civil engineering with a personal approach. We are seeking a Engineer III to join our growing Civil Design team in Vernon Hills, IL.

What you can expect:

The Engineer III will report to a Senior Project Manager and perform engineering design tasks for a wide variety of municipal engineering projects, capital improvement projects, and site design projects for educational, institutional, healthcare, recreational, residential, retail, and commercial land development projects. This role is an exempt, salaried position. We offer a hybrid work environment.

How you will make an impact:

• Mentor and train junior-level engineers.
• Oversee the creation of engineering documents using AutoCAD software.
• Coordinate and prioritize multiple project deadlines while adhering to company and project standards.
• Communicate and meet with project clients to discuss project progress and requirements.
• Aid in the preparation of project proposals and documentation.
