Engineering Manager
You lead engineering delivery for a subscriptions platform across multiple markets, owning the technical direction and execution of systems for subscription creation, pricing, and lifecycle management. You manage and develop engineers, establish technical standards, build reliable cloud-native services, and partner with Product, Billing, Payments, Marketing, Data, and Finance.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering delivery for the subscriptions platform
- Own technical direction and execution across subscription creation, pricing, and lifecycle management
- Build scalable, resilient, and extensible platform capabilities
- Manage and develop engineers
- Set technical standards
- Foster ownership and continuous improvement
- Partner with Product and business stakeholders
- Translate product strategy into reliable platform solutions
- Ensure high-quality delivery across the subscription lifecycle
- Collaborate with Billing, Payments, Marketing, Data, and Finance teams
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience building server-side applications
- Detailed knowledge of Java
- Knowledge of Spring or Spring Boot
- Experience with microservices
- Experience implementing and consuming RESTful APIs
- Experience building scalable and reliable cloud-native solutions
- Secure, well-tested, and well-documented software practices
- Experience integrating third-party providers and partners
- Experience with relational databases
- Ability to use AI tools and LLMs to improve engineering productivity and software quality
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Experience with continuous integration, delivery, and deployment
- Hands-on technical leadership
- Experience leading teams
- Experience directly managing people
