Engineering Project Manager
The Engineering Project Manager at Hyper Solutions leads the planning, development, and delivery of mechanical systems supporting low- and medium-voltage power distribution products, including PDUs and related mission-critical infrastructure components. This role combines technical engineering expertise with strong project management capabilities to drive successful execution from concept through production.
This position works cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with customer and business objectives. The Engineering Project Manager plays a key role in coordinating complex product development efforts while maintaining high standards for quality, performance, and reliability.
This role is well-suited for an engineer with strong mechanical design experience who has transitioned into project leadership and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional engineering projects for power distribution units (PDUs) and associated components
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure timely project execution
- Track project progress, milestones, risks, and deliverables, providing regular updates to stakeholders and leadership
- Manage risk assessments, design reviews, and engineering change control processes
- Ensure alignment between engineering development, production readiness, and customer requirements
Additional Responsibilities
- Collaborate with suppliers and contract manufacturers to assess production readiness and execution timelines
- Support Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Testing (DFT) efforts, including prototyping and validation builds
- Participate in factory acceptance testing (FAT), field trials, and failure analysis efforts
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project management processes, tools, and cross-functional coordination
- Support global or multi-site project execution across different time zones and partner environments
