Enterprise Architect - SME
Who you are:
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect – Subject Matter Expert (SME) to serve as the principal authority for enterprise architectural frameworks, modernization initiatives, zero-trust security alignment, and cross-enclave interoperability across complex environments. The Enterprise Architect will design, implement, and maintain enterprise-class systems and technology architectures that support mission and business objectives, develop architecture roadmaps, and ensure alignment between business strategies and technology investments.
What you do:
- Design and implement enterprise-class systems and technology architectures.
- Develop current-state and future-state architecture roadmaps.
- Ensure alignment between business strategies and technology investments.
- Identify opportunities to improve scalability, interoperability, security, and operational effectiveness.
- Evaluate and improve architectural designs for security, scalability, resilience, and interoperability.
- Lead modernization initiatives and ensure adherence to zero-trust security principles.
What you need:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 10+ years of professional experience in enterprise architecture, systems engineering, solution architecture, or related disciplines.
- Experience developing enterprise architecture strategies, frameworks, and roadmaps.
- Strong understanding of enterprise systems, cloud technologies, systems integration, and modernization practices.
- Experience evaluating and improving architectural designs for security, scalability, resilience, and interoperability.
- Knowledge of zero-trust security principles and enterprise governance practices.
- Proficiency with Cisco technologies: Switching, Routing, Firewalling, and site-to-site functions (IPSEC, DMVPN, SD-WAN)
- Experience with Arista switching
- Expertise in tunneling & VPNs: GRE, IPSEC, SSH, SSL, OpenVPN, Wireguard, and multi-tiered applications
- Familiarity with Virtual Distributed Switching: VMWare, Proxmox, Nutanix
- Solutions & Hardware: Client-Server VPNs, Site-to-site VPNs, and ad-hoc vendor/equipment integration
- Experience with virtualization / hyper-converged infrastructure such as:
- Proficiency with large data storage technologies such as QNAP, Synology, TrueNAS, NetApp
- Experience with File Transport Protocols such as Samba, SSH, SFTP, NFS
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have:
- Master's degree in a related technical discipline.
- Experience supporting federal, defense, intelligence, or highly regulated environments.
- Expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, DoDAF, Zachman, or comparable methodologies.
- Experience with cloud architecture, digital transformation, and multi-domain integration environments.
- Knowledge of cross-domain/cross-enclave interoperability solutions.
- Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect Expert, CISSP, or equivalent.
Eligibility Requirements:
- US Citizenship required.
- Top Secret security clearance required.
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
