EPIC APPLICATION SYSTEMS ANALYST (ON-SITE ONLY)
JOB SUMMARY: Epic Application team members are responsible for in-depth knowledge of the Epic System software and are the primary liaison between user community and the Epic application. They conduct regular day-to-day communications, review the software, and exhibit a deep understanding of the business operations and works with Epic, the Epic Application Team(s), Group Operations, and end users to tailor the application to the organizations’ requirements.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strong understanding of all aspects of Windows server and workstation operating system administration; i.e., tuning / configuration as well as how they relate to EPIC, fundamentals of security, installing third-party software..
- Independent problem-solving, self-direction.
- Designs and documents the general functional requirements and detailed technical specifications workflows..
- Designs and documents the general functional requirements and detailed technical specifications for ambulatory workflows.
- Receives and documents formal requests from customer including specifications (layout, calculations, data source, etc.) Evaluates requests for completeness and if needed works with customer to finalize request.
- Recommends changes to established guidelines, standards, methodologies and conventions as appropriate.
- Assists customers with quality assurance (testing) and documentation of testing results through standard procedures and processes.
- Ability to translate user requirements into functional & design specifications, communicate with report consumers to gather specifications, review designs, present drafts, and validate results.
- Provides support to end users and participates in training, process improvement and quality assurance initiatives; provides new and ongoing application training.
- Configures, modifies, tests, implements, maintains and supports applications software.
- Write and maintain system documentation.
- Perform end user and application support functions including problem solving and resolution of application function defects. Provide systems and application training.
- Responsible for running and assuring all daily jobs are processed on current and legacy practice management systems.
- Responsible for maintaining legacy systems.
- Due to the responsibilities of position, may be required to work beyond regularly scheduled hours.
- On-Call responsibilities.
- Occasional travel required.

- Attends OSHA training at Orientation and annually thereafter.
