Redpath is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced Senior Engineers and Senior Designers to support upcoming projects and construction initiatives. These roles are integral to our success, providing essential structural, mechanical, civil, and electrical expertise, as well as technical guidance and strategic insights across multiple engineering disciplines.

Together, Senior Engineers and Senior Designers play a vital role in the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, driving innovation and excellence across Redpath’s operations.

Senior Engineers

• Review and analyze engineering designs for mining structures, systems, and construction safety.
• Prepare and approve technical drawings and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, industry standards, and mining/heavy industry regulations.
• Provide consultation on project plans and cost estimates to support efficient decision-making and minimize risk.
• Deliver critical technical guidance and data to drive successful project execution and construction outcomes.
• Offer ongoing technical support throughout project lifecycles.
• Prepare reports and documentation as required.
• Mentor, coach, and support the development of engineers and EITs/ Engineering Graduates

Senior Designers

• Produce drawings from appropriate software accurately and in a timely manner as per specifications and project schedules
• Preliminary and final design of structures, fixtures and components to support shaft sinking operations
• Ensure drawings are produced in compliance with legislation, regulations, manufacturer specifications and safety policies
• Check drawings done by other Designers or Engineers-in-Training
• Conducts product and/or process research as required for projects with guidance of Manager, Engineering and Technical Services and make recommendations
• Participate in discussions regarding design and risk management of designsTravel to sites to inspect, take measurements and/or attend technical discussions as needed

Senior Engineer - Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in relevant Engineering Discipline
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng License)

Work Experience

• Ten (10) years minimum experience in a mining-related environment

Senior Designer - Qualifications

Education

• College diploma in Mechanical or Civil Engineering Technician/ or Technologist

Work Experience

• 5 - 10 years in mining related environment

• Knowledge and experience with shaft sinking applications
