Facility Manager (Infrastructure | 6-months contract)
Responsibilities
- Formulate development strategies on space management, infrastructure planning, project development and management in ensuring optimal and sustainable design to facilitate world-class scientific research.
- Translate users’ requirements to design brief & technical specifications, establish project budget for the procurement of consultancy services and construction contracts.
- Advise and evaluate the technical specifications to ensure sound engineering approach and / or technologies are exploited at reasonable cost
- Oversee and control construction timeline to ensure that the projects are completed safely, on schedule, fulfill budget marksmanship and meet the specified (quality) standards.
- Manage project meetings between project team, users, consultants, contractors for effective execution of project milestones
- Establish and define requirements for facilities maintenance, establish maintenance programs factoring environmental sustainability and cost effectiveness
- Be a champion in leading green practices and promote sustainability in operations and maintenance of building& facilities.
- Implement and review maintenance engineering initiatives to achieve higher reliability, maintainability and serviceability.
- Establish and administer comprehensive and non-comprehensive contracts in support of facilities management &maintenance of various infrastructure e.g. ACMV / M&E services, BMS, Security Access Control, Cleaning & Pest Control, Landscaping, lifts, full Building services etc
- Liaise and coordinate with partner facilities personnel managing labs, cleanrooms and research facilities systems such as Gas & Chemical and Total Water Management Systems.
- Engage internal stakeholders' and various external parties e.g. Landlord, Contractors, Supplier in keeping research institution's facilities relevant and vibrant
Requirements
- Engineering background in Mechanical / Electrical / Building Facility
- Possess at least 2 years of relevant experience in project development and / or facilities management in research and/ or industrial facility.
- Able to travel across facilities in Singapore
- A self-driven and meticulous individual who has the strong ability to multi-task
- Good time management skills and ability to deliver results under tight timelines
- Confident to communicate at all levels and able to think creatively and apply strategic thinking to tasks
