Finance Operations Specialist
Do you enjoy being at the heart of finance operations? Are you someone who likes to keep financial processes running smoothly while ensuring the numbers are accurate and complete? Do you combine a hands-on mentality with an analytical mindset? Then we'd love to hear from you.
About the role
As a Finance Operations Specialist, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day execution of our financial operations. You'll process bank transactions and purchase invoices, manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, and ensure our general ledger remains accurate and up to date. Your work is essential to maintaining a reliable financial administration.
In addition to the operational activities, you'll be responsible for reviewing intermediary accounts and investigating discrepancies. Because our financial processes are highly integrated across multiple systems, you'll also monitor automated transaction flows, identify exceptions, and help improve the efficiency and reliability of our finance operations.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys operational accounting but also wants to understand the processes behind the numbers. You'll work closely with the head of finance and controller to ensure our financial processes continue to scale as the business grows.
What you'll be doing
- Own the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring financial transactions are processed accurately and on time across banks, payment service providers, and other financial systems.
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.

This is you
- HBO bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business economics, or similar.
- Reliable and precise with day-to-day financial administration experience as this is the foundation the rest of the role builds on.
- Solid grasp of AP/AR processes, general ledger accounts, and VAT rules: well enough to judge whether an automated process is getting it right.
- Experience with financial/bookkeeping software (VismaNet, AccountView, Exact, or similar).
- Naturally curious about process: you notice when something's inefficient and want to understand why, even before you know how to fix it.
- Strong organizational skills; you can hold multiple systems and moving pieces in your head without losing track.
- Fluent in Dutch and English, spoken and written.
- Ready to take on new tasks as this role's scope shifts over time.
- Salary expectations: €54.400 - €60.000 annually.
