Financial Business Analyst
Responsibilities
- Partner with portfolio managers and business stakeholders to understand operational needs and translate business requirements into clear functional and technical requirements.
- Analyse existing investment workflows and recommend improvements to systems, processes and tools supporting portfolio management and trade execution.
- Work with IT, risk, finance and other internal stakeholders to design and implement technology solutions supporting front-office investment activities.
- Coordinate with external software vendors and service providers on system enhancements, implementation projects and production-related matters.
- Prepare test strategies, test scenarios and test plans, and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system upgrades, enhancements and new product implementations.
- Monitor and troubleshoot investment-related systems and operational processes, working with relevant stakeholders to resolve production issues promptly.
- Support the development and implementation of system and process roadmaps, including new functionality, upgrades and workflow improvements.
- Maintain appropriate process controls and ensure that investment workflows meet required standards for data integrity, information security and auditability.
- Develop and maintain user guides, operating procedures, system documentation and other materials required to support users and implemented solutions.
- Manage project schedules, vendors, implementation activities and change-management initiatives to facilitate successful adoption of new systems, products and business processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, Information Systems or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in business analysis, product management, investment systems or similar functions within the asset management or financial services sector.
- Good understanding of public-market investment transaction workflows, particularly front-to-back processes involving fixed income and foreign exchange (FX).
- Knowledge and experience with investment management systems such as Murex, SimCorp Dimension, BlackRock Aladdin, Charles River or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder-management skills, with experience in system implementation, UAT/testing, documentation and managing multiple projects in a cross-functional environment.
