Financial Controller
Job Summary:
We are seeking a committed and detail-oriented Financial Controller to lead financial reporting, planning, and governance functions within the organization. This role will oversee group accounting activities, ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards, and provide strategic financial insights to support business decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and review group financial reporting, consolidation, and statutory submissions, ensuring compliance with SGX, IFRS, and applicable regulatory standards
- Oversee monthly management reporting, cash flow forecasting, and comprehensive variance analysis across business units
- Oversee GST submissions and corporate income tax computations
- Drive annual budgeting and periodic forecasting cycles in collaboration with business heads and project teams
- Monitor departmental and project expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budgets and disciplined cost management
- Manage banking relationships, oversee existing credit facilities, maintain bank mandates, and monitor cash flow and liquidity requirements
- Serve as the key point of contact for bankers, external auditors, internal audit, tax agents, corporate secretaries, and regulatory authorities, particularly on financial reporting and GL-related matters
- Provide technical accounting advice to support new business developments, projects, and transactions
- Partner with business and operational leaders to enhance process efficiency, reporting consistency, and financial discipline across the organization
Requirement:
- Degree in Accounting / Finance or related
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and statutory compliance
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA) is an additional advantage.
- Minimum 8 years of accounting and finance experience, preferably in Construction / Engineering industry
- Familiar with SGX Main Board regulatory requirements
