Job Summary
Lead OutSystems development projects by designing, building, and deploying applications while mentoring engineers and ensuring alignment with platform governance and operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor engineers by providing technical guidance and conducting code reviews to enhance team performance
- Design, build, and deploy applications using OutSystems to meet business requirements and operational needs
- Translate business requirements into automated workflows, forms, and process logic in collaboration with cross-functional Scrum teams and stakeholders
- Take ownership of day-to-day technical decisions on system architecture, code quality, resilience, security, and platform implementation aligned with MinLaw’s governance standards
- Deliver features through the full sprint cycle following agile-scrum methodology
- Manage deployment lifecycle and optimize application performance to ensure reliability and efficiency
- Act as a technical escalation point for integration, performance, security, and platform limitation risks, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and maintain delivery continuity
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for developed applications, including technical specifications and support materials
Required competencies and certifications
- 7+ years of OutSystems development experience
- OutSystems certification (Associate Reactive Developer or higher)
- Experience leading a team of engineers
- Experience in agile-scrum methodology
- Experience building government or public sector digital products
- Experience integrating legacy systems into modern platforms
- Experience in DevOps practices
- Good knowledge of government ICT policies and standards
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- 4+ years of OutSystems development experience (noted separately in original JD but less than 7 years, thus preferred)
