Group Financial Controller

You will lead the Financial Controllers responsible for Tide’s India entities. You will oversee bookkeeping, month-end close, financial reporting, balance sheet controls, statutory accounts, product accounting processes, finance automation, AI deployment, lending and insurance accounting under IFRS 9, audit and tax engagements, stakeholder reporting, and team development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day bookkeeping, month-end close and financial reporting for India entities
  • Own the accuracy and integrity of the P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
  • Ensure balance sheet substantiation, reconciliation and control processes
  • Oversee preparation of statutory accounts
  • Support the annual financial statements process
  • Partner with business and product teams on new product development and launches
  • Establish accounting processes and controls for new products and business lines
  • Provide accounting input into product design and structuring
  • Drive automation of financial processes
  • Support deployment of AI tools within the finance team
  • Lead technical accounting for lending and insurance businesses
  • Own accounting and provisioning for lending products under IFRS 9
  • Lead external audit responses and year-end audit processes
  • Lead engagement with tax authorities
  • Prepare and present financial results and technical accounting papers
  • Lead, coach and develop Financial Controllers
  • Represent Financial Reporting and Control on cross-functional projects

Requirements

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification
  • 10-15 years of experience in financial reporting and control
  • Technical knowledge of audit, accounting and provisioning
  • Experience leading and developing finance professionals
  • Business partnering experience with product and commercial teams
  • Experience supporting new product launches
  • Experience driving finance transformation and process automation
  • Experience adopting AI within a finance function
  • Experience responding to external audit and tax authority enquiries
  • Communication skills
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership
  • Familiarity with Indian GAAP and/or IFRS reporting requirements
