High Value Manager
Scope: The High Value Manager develops, implements, and improves district high-value cargo programs. The role coordinates customer requirements, operational planning, security protocols, employee training, facility controls, service provider performance, incident response, and audit readiness across all functions that support high-value shipments.
Core Responsibilities:
Customer Program Management
Serve as the district owner for high-value customer programs, SOPs, routing requirements, security expectations, and escalation paths.
Partner with Account Management, Product, Operations, Warehouse, Security, Facility, and Branch leadership to ensure requirements are understood and executed.
Support customer reviews, implementations, business development opportunities, readiness discussions, and issue resolution.
Operational Excellence
Develop and maintain district operating procedures for high-value shipment planning, secure staging, provider selection, communication cadence, contingency planning, and exception handling.
Monitor performance, milestones, service metrics, and escalation activity to ensure operational discipline and customer confidence.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for service failures, security incidents, process gaps, and near misses.
Security Program Leadership
Coordinate implementation of Expeditors Security Standards, High Value Protocol expectations, customer security procedures, and escalation requirements.
Manage enhanced security programs including escorts, CargoSignal, bulkheads, trailer locks, seal integrity, chain of custody, and communication controls.
Partner with Security, Facility, Warehouse, Transcon, and Branch leadership to assess vulnerabilities, strengthen controls, and coordinate incident response.
Facility and High-Value Cage Management
Oversee secure staging, storage, and handling of high-value cargo, including high-value cages and designated controlled areas.
Ensure CCTV, access control, lighting, barriers, documentation, and facility security practices support customer and internal standards.
Support TAPA, customer, and internal audit readiness through walkthroughs, evidence management, and corrective action follow-up.
Service Provider Management
Qualify, select, and monitor approved carriers, escort providers, monitoring vendors, and security partners supporting high-value movements.
Validate provider compliance with customer requirements, route plans, equipment expectations, communication standards, and service levels.
Conduct performance reviews and escalate provider non-compliance or service risks when identified.
Financial Management
Support customer pricing, profitability, budget planning, forecasting, and cost control for enhanced security services.
Monitor escort, monitoring, premium transportation, storage, equipment, and facility-related expenses while identifying margin improvement opportunities.
People Development
Recruit, train, coach, develop, and retain team members supporting high-value operations.
Provide guidance on customer-specific procedures, shipment controls, security expectations, and escalation processes.
Promote accountability, ownership, safety, security, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
Compliance and Audits
Ensure compliance with Expeditors Security Standards, customer SOPs, facility security expectations, TAPA-related controls, CTPAT considerations, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Maintain organized documentation for training, incidents, provider performance, audits, assessments, and corrective actions.
Required
- 5+ years of logistics, transportation, warehouse, security, or supply chain experience.
- Leadership experience managing teams, cross-functional execution, service providers, and customer requirements.
- Strong knowledge of transportation, warehouse operations, cargo security, communication, escalation management, and problem solving.
- Ability to lead through ambiguity, coordinate stakeholders, and use Expeditors systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of software development principles.
- Experience with automation platforms such as Power Automate.
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot and M365 technologies.
- Familiarity with data structures, APIs, integrations, and system architecture.
- Basic understanding of AI, machine learning, LLMs, and prompt engineering.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
Business Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to understand complex operational processes.
- Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
Preferred
- Experience with high-value cargo, enhanced security movements, technology customers, customer SOPs, facility security, TAPA, CTPAT, audits, incident response, or program implementation.
- Experience supporting major time-sensitive customer programs and cross-functional supply chain initiatives.
- Experience developing automations, applications, or digital solutions.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects.
- Experience working in operations, logistics, finance, or enterprise shared services environments.
- Certifications in Microsoft Power Platform, Azure AI, Microsoft Copilot, or related technologies.
Expected base salary: $70,304.00
