HR Business Partner
POSITION SUMMARY
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) manages core HR operations and serves as the primary HR partner to the Caring for Others Branch network. This hands-on, individual-contributor role requires strong HR expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently across a broad, compliance-sensitive workload.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the first point of contact for the HR function, monitoring and responding to the HR inbox, ticketing board, physical mail, and phone line in a timely, professional manner
- Administer the workers' compensation process end-to-end, including claim intake, reporting, carrier coordination, return-to-work planning, and recordkeeping
- Administer and manage leave of absence programs (FMLA, OFLA, ADA accommodation, personal and medical leave) and the unemployment claims process, ensuring compliant and timely handling
- Administer employee benefit programs, including enrollment, eligibility, vendor coordination, and employee inquiries
- Provide payroll processing and HRIS support, including processing wage garnishments and responding to employment/income verification requests
- Own and continuously improve the Employee Training Program, ensuring content is current, compliant, and effectively delivered
- Provide day-to-day HR support to branch locations, acting as a trusted, responsive resource for Branch Leaders, Supervisors, and Employees, and lead performance management and offboarding activities
- Operate as the de facto HR resource in the absence of a dedicated HR leader, following established SOPs and exercising sound, independent judgment while escalating appropriately
ROLE QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR Generalist/HR Business Partner experience, including hands-on work with benefits administration, leave management, workers' compensation, and unemployment claims
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and make sound HR decisions in an environment without a dedicated onsite HR leader
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build trust and work effectively across all levels
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism in handling confidential information, including adherence to HIPAA and other regulatory obligations
- Strong judgment, problem-solving ability, and adaptability to shifting priorities and business needs
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with reliable, predictable, and punctual attendance
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or higher HR certification preferred; prior experience in home care, healthcare, or a multi-site/branch services organization a plus
