Location: Budapest, Hungary | Reports to: CEE Regional People & Culture Manager | Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in the office) | Visa Requirements: Valid working Visa for Hungary | Language Requirements: Professional level of Hungarian and English, written and verbal | contract type: fixed term of up to one year (with possibility of extension)
As our new HR Generalist, you will be responsible for managing both operational HR processes and strategic initiatives. The role is a combination of hands-on HR administration with business partnering responsibilities, ensuring smooth HR operations while fostering employee engagement across the organization.
The role:
- Coordinate payroll and ensure full compliance with Hungarian labour law, internal policies, and reporting requirements
- Manage end‑to‑end HR administration, including onboarding/offboarding, employee documentation, HRIS (Workday) updates, and time reporting
- Maintain accurate employee data, prepare HR reports, and support audits and cooperation with finance and other relevant departments
- Partner with managers on performance management, talent development, career growth, and succession planning
- Drive employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, data analysis, action planning, and promoting company culture and values
- Support organizational changes, workforce planning, and continuous improvement of HR processes, collaborating with Talent Acquisition and other stakeholders
