What you’ll be doing
As an HR Generalist, you will serve as the primary point of contact for employees seeking assistance and information from Human Resources, including leave administration, accommodation requests, and general HR inquiries.
In this role, you will:

Serve as the first point of contact for employees regarding general human resources inquiries.

Refer complex questions and issues to the appropriate individual or department when necessary.

Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes.

Administer the organization's leave of absence and disability management programs.

Ensure timely filing of workers’ compensation claims and coordinate with insurance carriers regarding claim management and return-to-work programs.

Ensure compliance with organizational policies and applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Serve as a change agent by supporting implementation and improvement of HR policies, procedures, and practices.

Maintain accurate employee data within HRIS and vendor systems.

Respond to employee requests, questions, and concerns in a timely manner.

Escalate issues and concerns to the Director of Human Resources as appropriate.

Provide guidance and support in resolving employee relations matters, including investigative support when required.

Create and distribute HR reporting and metrics to internal stakeholders.

Assist with recruitment activities and candidate screening as needed.

Provide backup support for benefits administration and payroll functions.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
