HR Operations Specialist

ABOUT THE POSITION

As an HR Operations Specialist, you will help build and run the systems, processes, and programs that power our employee experience. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, loves bringing order to complexity, and takes pride in getting the details right to get things done.

You'll work closely with our Senior HR Director and cross-functional partners to own the day-to-day operations of HR — from HRIS administration and benefits to compliance and process improvement. If you've been waiting for a role where you can actually build something and have the drive to make it happen, this is it.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – RESPONSIBILITIES:

HRIS & Data

  • Own day-to-day administration of Rippling, including employee records, workflows, and reporting
  • Maintain data integrity and audit employee information regularly
  • Build and run standard HR reports for leadership and cross-functional teams

Benefits & Leave Administration

  • Administer health, dental, vision, 401(k), and ancillary benefits programs
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee benefits questions
  • Assist in managing open enrollment end-to-end — communications, system setup, carrier coordination
  • Assist in processing and tracking leave requests (PTO, FMLA, state leave) in compliance with applicable laws

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Maintain and update HR policies, documentation, and the employee handbook
  • Support multi-state compliance across employment laws, required notices, and filings
  • Partner with payroll to ensure accuracy on new hires, terminations, and changes
  • Support audits and reporting requirements (EEO-1, ACA, etc.)

Process & Infrastructure

  • Document and improve HR workflows — if it's informal today, you'll make it repeatable
  • Support the buildout of Linxup's HR portal and employee-facing resources
  • Identify gaps in current processes and propose practical solutions

Recruiting Support

  • Assist with recruiting logistics including job postings, phone screens, interview scheduling, and/or candidate coordination
  • Support the recruiting process by managing ATS records, coordinating interviews, and processing offer letters
  • Assist with new hire pre-boarding and ensure a smooth handoff from signed offer to Day 1

Employee Support

  • Respond to employee HR questions with accuracy and care
  • Handle onboarding and offboarding logistics from an HR ops perspective
  • Be a reliable, approachable resource for employees navigating HR matters
  • Assist with Office Operations and Culture initiatives as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field
  • 3–5 years of HR operations or generalist experience
  • Hands-on HRIS experience, data entry, reporting and workflow management (Rippling preferred)
  • Working knowledge of benefits administration and leave management
  • Strong attention to detail — you catch things others miss
  • Hold yourself to deadlines without needing to be chased — you're the one following up, not the one being followed up on
  • Ability to work independently with moderate direction - meeting deadlines and managing competing priorities
  • Experience using Google Workspace
  • Experience building or documenting HR processes from scratch

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • The hours of this position are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM
  • This position is hybrid with designated days working from the office and designated days working from home.
  • Company promotes work/life balance to achieve maximum performance professionally and personally

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

We value hard work and on-the-job-excellence, so we offer competitive compensation and benefits packages:

  • Position offers a competitive base salary
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and 401(k) benefits are offered
  • FTO-Flexible Time Off Policy
