About the Role

Access Community Care is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team and help support our employees, workplace culture, and day-to-day HR operations.

This role is ideal for someone who is organized, approachable, detail-oriented, and genuinely enjoys working with people. The HR Coordinator will play an important role in recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee records, office operations, and employee engagement.

Working full-time on-site, this position serves as a warm and reliable presence for local staff and acts as an operational bridge between field managers, administrative staff, and executive leadership.

The goal of this position is to support employee retention and satisfaction through efficient hiring, engaging onboarding, responsive HR support, and well-organized administrative processes, while maintaining accurate, audit-ready employee records in accordance with applicable ODHS/ODDS standards.

The HR Coordinator will also serve as a trained secondary backup for bi-weekly payroll processing and help maintain a welcoming, organized, and well-supplied office environment.


What You'll Do

Recruitment, Onboarding & Offboarding

  • Coordinate job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and reference checks.
  • Support candidates throughout the hiring process and provide a positive applicant experience.
  • Complete pre-employment and pre-boarding requirements, including collecting I-9 documentation, driver's licenses, auto insurance information, and background check data.
  • Facilitate Day 1 new-hire orientation, handbook reviews, and initial system account setup.
  • Coordinate role-specific training assignments, including Open Future Learning and CPR/First Aid certification tracking.
  • Coordinate employee offboarding, including exit interviews, equipment retrieval, and termination of system access.

HR Administration & Payroll Backup

  • Serve as the designated secondary backup for bi-weekly payroll processing using Paychex Flex and Swipeclock to maintain continuity during planned or unplanned absences of the primary Payroll Specialist.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including tracking 60-day eligibility, open enrollment, and qualifying life events.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant personnel files in BambooHR and Google Drive.
  • Organize and prepare employee documentation for state and ODHS audits.
  • Update job descriptions and organize training records under the direction of Executive HR.
  • Provide administrative support for performance management, including tracking review due dates and maintaining documentation.
  • Respond to routine employee HR questions and escalate complex issues appropriately.

Workplace & Office Operations

  • Serve as the primary, full-time in-office HR presence and a dependable resource for employees.
  • Support staff with day-to-day HR questions and help gauge team morale and workplace needs.
  • Manage office inventory, order supplies, and maintain an organized, welcoming, and professional workspace.
  • Coordinate employee recognition initiatives, office events, and culture-building programs.
  • Serve as an administrative liaison between finance/systems teams, field operations managers, and administrative staff.
  • Support a positive, collaborative workplace culture.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


What We're Looking For

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field OR equivalent experience in HR or office coordination.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to successfully complete required background checks in accordance with applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, including Docs, Sheets, and Drive.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems is preferred, particularly BambooHR, Paychex Flex, and/or Swipeclock.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive employee information with professionalism and discretion.
  • A warm, approachable, and solutions-oriented attitude.
