ICT Business Analyst

As our business continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced ICT Business Analyst to support our digital transfermation initiatives and optimise business systems across our retail, wholesale, warehousing, logistics, and online operations.
About the Role
The ICT Business Analyst will work closely with management and operational teams to analyse business processes, identify technology solutions, and deliver system improvements that enhance operational efficiency and support business growth.
The ICT Business Analyst is responsible for analysing, improving, and digitising Lovens Building Supplies' operational and commercial processes across retail, wholesale distribution, procurement, inventory management, logistics, e-commerce, finance, and customer service. The role acts as the bridge between business stakeholders and ICT solutions, ensuring technology investments improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and business performance.
Key Responsibilities
Business Process Analysis & Improvement
Analyse business operations across purchasing, inventory management, wartehousing, retail sales, online sales, logistics, finance, and customer service.
Review existing workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, eliminate manual processes, and reduce operational risks.
Develop current-state ("As-Is") and future-state ("To-Be") business process maps.
Recommend practical digital solutions that support business growth and operational scalability
Prepare business cases and cost-benefit analyses for process improvement initiatives.
Digital Systems & Technology Projects
Lead the business analysis component of ERP, CRM, inventory management, procurement, POS, warehouse management, and e-commerce system projects.
Gather business requirements from department managers and convert them into functional specifications
Work closely with software vendors and implementation partners to ensure business requirements are fully delivered.
Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), document testing outcomes, and monitor issue resolution before production deployment.
Support system integration between accounting software, online sales platforms, inventory systems, courier platforms, and supplier databases.
Supply Chain & Inventory Optimisation
Analyse inventory movenment, purchasing patterns, supplier performance, and stock replenishment processes
Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, stock availability, and warehouse efficiency.
Recommend system enhancements that improve purchasing controls, stock forecasting, and order fulfilment
Assist management in implementing automated inventory monitoring and reporting.
Data Management & Business Intelligence
Develop business reporting requirements across sales, inventory, purchasing, customer behaviour, and operational performance.
Design dashboards and KPI reporting for management decision-making.
Review data quality and coordinate data cleansing, validation, and migration activities.
Analyse operational trends and provide recommendations based on business data.
Stakeholder Engagement
Conduct workshops and interviews with management, purchasing staff, warehouse teams, sales consultants, finance staff, and customer service representatives.
Translate operational requirements into clear ICT functional specifications
Act as the communivation bridge between technical teams and business users.
Facilitate stakeholder meetings throughout project implementation
Operational Support & Continuous Improvement
Develop business procedures, user guides, and system documentation.
Deliver user training and support system adoption across departments.
Ensure ICT solutions comply with company policies, cybersecurity requirements, and data governance standards
Project Coordination
Assist in planning ICT projects, implementation schedules, and resource allocation.
Maintain project documentation, change requests, risk registers, and progress reports
Participate in software evaluations and vendor selection processes
Monitor project milestones and ensure deliverables are achieved within agreed timelines
About You
To be successful in this role, you should have:
A relevant tertiary qualification in Informance Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline. OR
At least three years of relevant ICT Business Analysis experience, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and practical experience
Experience working with EPR, CRM, inventory management, warehouse management, retail, or e-commerce systems
Strong analytical and aproblem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience preparing business requirements, process documentation, and system specifications
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
