ICT Project Manager

Salary: $120 - $140 per hour including super

⦁ 12 + 12-month contract
⦁ Baseline Security Clearance required
⦁ Hobart, Tas - QLD, ACT, VIC & NSW also considered
⦁ EL1 equivalent | Communications | Satellite | Radio | Networks | Infrastructure

Our client, who protects Australia's natural environment and heritage sites are seeking an experienced ICT Project Manager.

Duties of the ICT Project Manager

• Developing comprehensive project plans, setting clear objectives, and overseeing the end‑to‑end execution for ICT projects;
• Use, adapt, and work across various delivery methodologies (Prince2, MSP, Agile, SAFe, Hybrid);
• Identifying potential risks and obstacles that could impede project progress and develop strategies to mitigate them;
• Ensuring that the digital solutions and technologies implemented meet predefined quality standards and performance benchmarks;
• Working closely with stakeholders to develop an in‑depth understanding of their team, products objectives;
• Identifying organisational needs for new software or technology that will help with efficiency and/or performance;
• Support additional tasks and activities as required.

Skills and Experience Required

• Experience as a Project Manager or coordinator in a technical role and ability to analyse and solve technical communications problems;
• Sound understanding working in ICT with a sound knowledge of satellite, networking and radio communications components;
• Knowledge working in Government departments;
• Previous experience delivering ICT projects in remote locations and environments.
