About the business

At GS1, we empower organisations to grow efficiently, sustainably and safely – helping transform the way we work and live.

We do this by providing a suite of GS1’s global standards and solutions that are ubiquitous (we’re most famous for the humble barcode!). But we do much, much more! We work with literally thousands of Kiwi organisations in sectors as diverse as food & grocery, healthcare, agribusiness, DIY & construction, winegrowing, apparel and general merchandise to provide solutions that allow them to share accurate information with their trading partners and consumers and streamline the way they work.

Whatever the industry sector, be it Retail, Government, Healthcare, Production or Manufacturing, GS1 New Zealand offers the tools and solutions necessary to support those organisations. And GS1 NZ is part of a global family of not-for-profit, member-owned organisations, so you get a great sense of international connection but without being told what to do from offshore.

Embedding our solutions means engaging directly with customers to project manage a defined implementation programme, running training sessions (online and in person), having a knack for understanding multiple software solutions and business processes, and working with our engagement managers to develop relationships with key demand & supply side customers.
