Infrastructure Architect
Job description
1. Building bank EA tool with all enterprise architecture artifacts.
2. Own and aggressively drive forward specific areas of technology architecture. Provide architectural solutions/designs to project execution teams for implementation.
3. Provide technology architectural assessments, strategies, and roadmaps for different technology domains.
4. Define platform architecture and key design decisions for the bank’s foundation platform.
5. Ensure all non-functional requirements for the platform meet business needs and BCP requirements.
6. Ensure all relevant architecture governance, policy, and standards are met.
7. Be accountable for managing engagement with audit and all audit responses.
8. Maintain and manage all customer-facing information and knowledge bases for platform architecture and key design decisions.
9. Gather requirements and provide continuous feedback loops between business users and engineering teams.
10. Establish a highly expert framework of competency in the area of expertise within IT asset infrastructure and services.
11. Develop and/or support the tools and methods, and requirements to accurately assess risk, value, and architectural direction of opportunities and engagements within area of expertise or as directed by management.
12. Assist in the development of major features and implementations, including helping to design the architecture for those features.
13. Collaborate frequently with engineers, developers, and administrators and provide insightful feedback on the process, architecture, implementation, and quality of the product.
14. Troubleshoot issues in a timely manner to ensure the stability of applications.
15. Design solution recommendations and enforce consistency across applications.
16. Provide technical knowledge translated from the business and guidance on best practices during architecture committee.
17. Steer and validate the solutions infrastructure design and deployment processes with EA governance committee (includes software choices, recommendation to buy/make solution, etc.).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or mathematics.
- Minimum of 5 years demonstrated a high degree of proficiency in designing and developing complex, high-quality solutions.
- Leveraging best practices through published reference architectures.
- Demonstrable cloud service provider experience – infrastructure build and configurations of a variety of services including compute, containers, container OS and container orchestration (e.g., Docker, COS, GKE), storage, IAM, SDN (VPC and XPN).
- Experience of 7+ years in technical and IT fields.
- Certifications: relevant certifications like TOGAF or similar are often preferred.

Relevant job experience
Proven experience as an infrastructure architect or similar role.
Experience designing, implementing, and managing large-scale IT infrastructure.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and on-premises infrastructure.
Technical skills
Strong knowledge of network architecture, servers, storage, and virtualization.
Expertise in infrastructure automation and orchestration tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet).
Understanding of security protocols and infrastructure security best practices.
Hands-on experience with virtualization and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
