The Position
LP Insurance Services, LLC is seeking an Insurance Accounting Associate to join our Accounting team. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop a broad foundation in accounting through hands-on experience across multiple accounting functions. The successful candidate will participate in a rotational learning environment, gaining exposure to direct bill accounting, carrier receivables, carrier payables, commission processing, vendor payables, reconciliations, and month-end accounting activities.
This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys problem-solving, has a strong attention to detail, and is looking to build a long-term career in accounting while learning the operational and financial processes that support a growing insurance brokerage.
This position requires the ability to work in-person, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Process and post commission statements, bank deposits, and carrier payments.
- Communicate with the client services team and Account Managers to resolve direct bill and invoicing/billing issues within Agency Management System.
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations, including bank accounts, direct bill commissions, payables, etc.
- Research and resolves any issues that might be uncovered by reconciliations.
- Working with confidential data.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- May be required to work additional hours during month-end reporting to meet company deadlines.
