Internal - Quality Tester

About the Role
ZLINE Kitchen is looking for a detail-oriented Quality Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. This is an internal opportunity open to current employees. The Quality Tester plays a critical role in ensuring that every product that carries the ZLINE name meets our high standards — before, during, and after production.
Your existing knowledge of our products, processes, and customers gives you a strong foundation for success in this role. No prior QA title is required — what matters is your attention to detail, your commitment to doing things right, and your ability to speak up when something isn't.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final product inspections according to established quality standards
- Identify, document, and report non-conforming products and escalate issues appropriately
- Conduct visual and functional inspections of kitchen appliances and components
- Verify packaging integrity and accuracy of product labeling before shipment
- Complete inspection records, checklists, and quality logs with accuracy and consistency
- Communicate defects and quality findings clearly to QA management and cross-functional teams
- Assist in root cause analysis when recurring quality issues are identified
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by flagging patterns and suggesting process changes
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection area

Preferred Experience (not required)
- Familiarity with product defect types seen in Customer Service or Warranty claims
- Experience verifying shipments for accuracy, condition, or compliance in Shipping or Receiving
- Basic knowledge of AQL sampling, ISO standards, or quality management concepts
- Prior experience completing quality checklists or inspection logs
