Investment Manager
Job Responsibilities
- Establish centrality in relevant startup communities, identify market opportunities, ensure the Amber team has access to investment opportunities.
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on various industries andmarkets to identify potential investment opportunities.
- Evaluate investment opportunities in collaboration with Asialeadership, model valuations, help manage relationship with team at prospectiveinvestments.
- Assist in all aspects of deal execution including modelling, lightlegal work, investment project evaluation, liaising with external vendors, andmanaging timelines.
- Monitor, socialize, document industry trends, maintain researchdatabase of companies in relevant sectors, track leadership and investorchanges.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internalpolicies governing investment activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of investment activities,transactions, and communications.
Job requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanceddegree (e.g., MBA, CFA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 year experience in investment management, portfolioanalysis, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of blockchain fundamentals, digital assets,familiarity with Web 3.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability tointerpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex investment concepts.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; Mandarin speaking is a plus.
- Good team player with a startup mindset and respect for timelines.
- Direct deal/investing experience at VCs is preferred.
