IT Business Analyst

We are looking for an Business Analyst to work closely with business users, application teams, IT management and SaaS product vendors to gather requirements, evaluate suitable solutions and support tender preparation and product selection. The successful candidate will play a key role in translating business and technical requirements into practical solution options while ensuring that functional and non-functional requirements are clearly documented, validated and approved.

Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyse and document final functional and non-functional requirements, and obtain formal stakeholder sign-off.
• Review existing documentation and systems to capture and establish baseline business and application requirements.
• Work closely with key business unit users, application teams and other stakeholders to understand business needs, operational requirements and existing processes.
• Plan, facilitate and lead requirements-gathering workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
• Compile, discuss and validate requirements with users, identify opportunities for process optimisation and recommend suitable solution approaches.
• Engage SaaS product owners, product managers, business analysts, account managers and solution teams to map business requirements against available product capabilities.
• Perform market research and product evaluation to identify viable SaaS and technology solutions that meet business, functional, technical and operational requirements.
• Conduct gap analysis between business requirements and proposed product capabilities and identify areas requiring configuration, integration, customisation or process changes.
• Work with product owners and relevant stakeholders to develop and evaluate possible solution options.
• Prepare and present proposed solutions, product evaluations and recommendations to IT management and key stakeholders for review and validation.
• Support product selection activities by developing evaluation criteria and comparing potential solutions against agreed requirements.
• Draft clear and comprehensive tender specifications, including functional, non-functional, technical and service requirements.
• Assist with tender documentation, vendor clarification and evaluation activities where required.
• Ensure requirements remain traceable from initial business needs through solution evaluation, tender specification and implementation.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Business Analysis, Requirements Management, Product Evaluation, IT Consulting or a related role.
• Strong experience in gathering and documenting functional and non-functional requirements.
• Experience conducting stakeholder interviews, requirements workshops and requirements validation sessions.
• Good understanding of SaaS products, enterprise applications and technology solution evaluation.
• Experience performing market research, product comparison and gap analysis.
• Experience in preparing tender specifications, RFP/RFQ requirements or vendor evaluation documentation will be advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into clear technical and functional requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with business users, IT teams, management and external vendors.
• Ability to prepare clear documentation, presentations and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Able to work independently while managing multiple stakeholders and priorities.
