Our client is looking for an IT Contracts & Compliance Analyst to join a collaborative technology function and play a key role in managing technology vendors and contracts across their lifecycle.
Working closely with the IT Vendor Manager and stakeholders across Technology, Legal, Risk, Cyber Security, Architecture and the broader business, you'll help ensure technology partnerships deliver strong commercial outcomes while effectively managing operational, regulatory and third-party risk.
The Role
This is a varied role combining contract management, vendor governance, commercial negotiation and compliance. You'll be involved from vendor onboarding and contract assessment through to renewals, performance management and ongoing vendor relationships.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing and supporting the negotiation of technology contracts and commercial agreements
- Assessing contractual, commercial and third-party vendor risks
- Supporting vendor onboarding, sourcing and governance activities
- Managing contract renewals, expirations and other key contractual milestones
- Working with Legal, Risk, Cyber Security, Technology and business stakeholders to ensure agreements meet relevant requirements
- Maintaining accurate vendor and contract records
- Supporting the development and maintenance of vendor risk registers and governance frameworks
- Monitoring and reporting on vendor performance, contracts, risks and relationships
- Developing and maintaining vendor scorecards, dashboards and reporting
- Helping improve vendor management policies, standards and processes
- Identifying opportunities to improve contract negotiation and vendor management practices
About You
You'll bring strong commercial judgement and the ability to confidently work across technology, contracts, risk and stakeholder management.
Ideally, you will have:
- 3-5 years' experience in vendor management, contract management, commercial management, procurement or technology governance
- Proven experience reviewing and negotiating technology agreements
- An understanding of vendor governance and supplier performance management frameworks
- Strong contract interpretation and commercial risk assessment skills
- Commercial acumen and effective negotiation skills
- An understanding of technology sourcing and procurement practices
- Familiarity with vendor lifecycle and third-party risk management
- An understanding of cyber security, regulatory and compliance obligations
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Information Technology, Procurement or a related discipline is preferred.
Professional certifications such as ITIL, Certified Vendor Manager (CVM), Contract Management or COBIT will also be highly regarded.
Nice to Have
Experience within financial services, investment management or banking would be advantageous, as would experience implementing vendor governance frameworks or operating models.
