Right now, we are
looking for a IT Manager to integrate our internal team, based
in Figueira da Foz.
Your responsibilities
include:
Requirements Gathering and Translation
- Gather, validate, and prioritize technical requirements with the client’s
stakeholders;
- Translate functional and business requirements into technical
specifications that are understandable to the Systems teams (virtualization,
storage, backup, databases) and the Networking teams (firewall rules, network
architecture, connectivity between data centers);
- Assess the preliminary technical feasibility of requests before forwarding
them, identifying dependencies across domains;
Liaison and
Monitoring
- Serve as a liaison between the client and the TAMs, presenting requirements
in a structured manner, including context, impact, urgency, and success
criteria;
- Monitor the execution of requests with the TAMs, ensuring compliance with
deadlines and contractual SLAs;
- Monitor the execution of projects outside the scope of service, ensuring
that needs are met and communication flows between project teams, the client,
and the service team;
- Participate in periodic follow-up meetings with the client and report
internally on the status of projects and relevant incidents;
Expectation, Risk, and Knowledge Management
- Manage client expectations regarding deadlines, technical limitations, and
trade-offs (impact on production, maintenance windows, and downtime);
- Identify opportunities for optimization or risks (licensing compliance,
infrastructure capacity, obsolescence) and propose proactive measures to the
technical teams;
- Document technical decisions, the agreed-upon architecture, and relevant
changes for continuity and future reference;
- Escalate internally any issues requiring management decisions (budget,
resources, contractual scope changes).
You must have:
- Proven experience of 5 or more years in the management, design, and
implementation of infrastructure and networks;
- Proficiency in network protocols and technologies: BGP, VLANs,
SD-WAN, VPNs, and firewalls;
- Experience in LAN, WAN, and WLAN environments, as well as in the
design and management of Wi-Fi networks;
- Experience overseeing implementation projects for infrastructure,
systems, networks, and security;
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and incident
reports produced by TAM teams;
- Strong communication skills and fluency in technical discourse,
with a proven ability to communicate with both technical and business
stakeholders;
- English: B2/C1;
- Driver’s license and willingness to travel;
We value:
- Fortinet technologies and related certifications (NSE);
alternatively, Cisco (CCNP) or equivalent;
- Functional knowledge—not necessarily from day-to-day practice—of
virtualization (VMware vSphere/vCenter), Citrix CVAD, backup (Veeam), storage
(Dell PowerStore and Data Domain), and AD DS services;
- Familiarity with monitoring processes (Zabbix or equivalent) and
interpreting infrastructure health metrics;
- Previous experience in a managed service provider (MSP) or
outsourcing context;
- Experience with OT or industrial environments;
- Autonomy and the ability to organize scattered information;
- Assertiveness in managing expectations, including the ability to
provide a technical justification for a “no” or a “not within these deadlines”
when dealing with the client;
- Attention to detail in documentation and a focus on knowledge
retention;
- Focus on building long-term relationships with clients.
