IT Manager
Key Responsibilities
On-Site IT Support & Service Continuity
Serve as the primary on-site IT resource for the Singapore office and independently resolve the majority of day-to-day technical issues.
Act as the first point of contact for Singapore-based users, ensuring timely troubleshooting and minimal business disruption.
Work closely with the external regional IT support provider for escalation, specialist assistance, and service continuity when required.
Maintain primary ownership of local IT support and ensure issues are followed through to resolution.
IT Operations & Infrastructure
Record, classify, prioritize, and manage incidents and service requests through the IT ticketing system.
Provide hands-on Level 1 and Level 2 support for Windows 10/11, macOS, smartphones, printers, hardware, applications, networks, user accounts, and access-related issues.
Troubleshoot complex or recurring incidents and perform root cause analysis where necessary.
Administer and support networks, servers, access permissions, backups, system configurations, and security settings.
Manage desktop and end-user computing environments, including device setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Administer Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Entra ID.
Maintain strong end-to-end understanding of Microsoft 365 tenant configuration and administration.
Monitor infrastructure performance and perform patches, system updates, configuration changes, backup, and recovery activities.
Configure, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure including routers, switches, wireless access points, and Fortigate environments.
Escalate technical issues to external vendors or the regional IT support provider when specialist expertise is required.
Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including device preparation, account creation, access provisioning, and basic system orientation.
Maintain accurate records of IT assets, hardware, software licenses, and equipment inventory.
Assist with IT hardware, software, and service procurement where required.
Manage multiple support requests effectively while providing timely updates to users and stakeholders.
Maintain technical documentation covering incidents, resolutions, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
Support IT infrastructure projects and other technical initiatives assigned by management.
IT Governance, Vendors & Management
Lead and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, operational procedures, and internal controls.
Manage the full lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement, deployment, refresh planning, and disposal.
Monitor software licensing to ensure compliance and cost effectiveness.
Act as the main point of contact for IT vendors and outsourced service providers.
Identify, document, and monitor IT risks, control exceptions, and remediation activities.
Conduct regular IT and governance updates with senior management.
Provide management with recommendations relating to IT budgets, risk acceptance, system improvements, and technology investments.
Ensure IT operations and initiatives remain aligned with business requirements and regional IT standards.
Draft, maintain, and implement IT governance policies, information security controls, and business continuity plans where required.
Where direct policy-writing experience is limited, demonstrate strong practical understanding of formal governance frameworks and their application within previous organizations.
Cybersecurity
Administer and support Microsoft Defender XDR, Microsoft Sentinel, and Microsoft E5 security capabilities.
Monitor, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity alerts, incidents, and threat intelligence.
Apply appropriate security controls to protect endpoints, networks, systems, and organizational data against malware, ransomware, phishing, and other threats.
Review the organization's Microsoft security posture and discuss key findings or risks with management when required.
Prepare regular cybersecurity incident, threat, and alert reports for management review.
Requirements
Core Technical Skills
Candidates should demonstrate practical, hands-on capability in the following areas:
Strong support experience across Windows 10/11, macOS, and mobile devices.
Advanced Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Entra ID.
Ability to explain Microsoft 365 tenant configuration and administration from initial setup through ongoing management.
Hands-on Microsoft Azure experience, including Virtual Machines, networking, Conditional Access, Entra ID, and related administration.
Experience implementing, managing, and supporting Microsoft SharePoint.
Good understanding of additional Microsoft technologies and enterprise productivity tools.
Practical networking knowledge, including configuration and administration of routers, switches, access points, and firewalls.
Experience with Fortigate environments is advantageous.
Working knowledge of cybersecurity tools such as Microsoft Defender or comparable endpoint and enterprise security solutions.
Understanding of controls and technologies used to protect systems and data from malware, ransomware, phishing, and other cyber threats.
Additional Technical Competencies
Microsoft 365 implementation and administration; exposure to Google Workspace is advantageous.
Microsoft SharePoint implementation, administration, and support.
Microsoft OneDrive implementation and support.
Windows desktop and end-user support.
Microsoft Azure administration covering Virtual Machines, networking, system backups, and related cloud infrastructure.
Microsoft Defender or comparable enterprise cybersecurity platforms.
Familiarity with cloud-based network drive and SharePoint mapping solutions, such as Konnekt, is advantageous.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft AZ-900, CompTIA, or equivalent are advantageous.
Approximately 5–8 years of relevant experience in IT support, systems administration, infrastructure, or a similar technical function.
Strong experience administering Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and Entra ID/Azure AD.
Proven troubleshooting capability across hardware, software, networking, system access, and end-user environments.
Good knowledge of network administration, system monitoring, patch management, backup, and recovery processes.
Exposure to cybersecurity platforms such as Microsoft Defender XDR and Microsoft Sentinel.
Experience managing IT assets, software licenses, vendors, and governance-related activities.
Ability to work effectively within a regional IT environment and communicate IT and cybersecurity matters to business stakeholders.
Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Able to manage multiple priorities independently in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
