IT Project Coordinator
East Melbourne | Initial 6-month contract | Full-time hours | Hybrid working
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced IT Project Coordinator to join a large, well-established Australian organisation operating across the energy and essential consumer services sector.
Supporting technology projects connected to mergers and acquisitions, you will work closely with Project Managers, technical teams, business stakeholders and external vendors. This role requires someone experienced, proactive and able to hit the ground running in a busy project environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate IT project activities, schedules, milestones and deliverables
- Support technology workstreams relating to mergers, acquisitions and business integration
- Maintain project plans, action registers, risk and issue logs and status reports
- Use Jira to track tasks, workflows, backlogs and project progress
- Maintain project documentation, meeting notes and decisions in Confluence
- Organise meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes and follow up outstanding actions
- Track project dependencies, risks and delivery blockers
- Assist with governance reports, steering committee packs and project updates
- Liaise with technical teams, business stakeholders and external vendors
- Monitor timelines and escalate concerns that may affect delivery
Your Profile
- Previous experience as an IT Project Coordinator, Project Support Officer or PMO Coordinator
- Experience supporting merger, acquisition, divestment or business integration projects
- Strong hands-on Jira and Confluence experience
- A good understanding of IT project delivery and governance
- Experience maintaining project schedules, RAID logs and reporting
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- The ability to manage competing priorities and confidently follow up actions
- A proactive approach and the ability to become productive quickly
Experience supporting system integrations, infrastructure changes, application migrations, digital transformation or SAP projects would be highly regarded.
