IT Support Specialist
Key Responsibilities
- Provide responsive first-level and general IT support for employees, including troubleshooting hardware, software, network, printer, mobile device, and conference room technology issues.
- Deliver a high level of customer service by communicating clearly, following up on requests, documenting resolutions, and ensuring users receive timely support.
- Support employee onboarding, offboarding, device deployment, account setup, access coordination, equipment recovery, and related IT service requests.
- Maintain accurate IT asset records, including laptops, desktops, monitors, peripherals, mobile devices, software licenses, accessories, and assigned equipment.
- Assist with IT asset lifecycle activities such as inventory tracking, device assignment, equipment replacement, returns, repairs, warranty coordination, and disposal preparation.
- Coordinate IT procurement activities, including collecting requirements, obtaining quotes, preparing purchase requests, tracking orders, reviewing vendor agreements, and supporting renewal or contract documentation.
- Review procurement-related details such as pricing, quantities, agreement terms, service coverage, renewal dates, and vendor documentation for accuracy before internal approval.
- Configure, deploy, and support Mac devices using JAMF and IRU-related management workflows, including enrollment, device profiles, application installation, security configuration, and user setup.
- Assist with Windows device configuration, software installation, endpoint updates, basic security settings, and standard desktop support tasks.
- Document support procedures, asset processes, procurement steps, and technical workflows to improve team efficiency and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with internal IT team members, vendors, and business departments to resolve issues, complete service requests, and support ongoing technology operations.
- Previous experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, technical operations, or a similar customer-facing technology role.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- Working knowledge of Windows and macOS devices, Microsoft 365 applications, common business software, printers, peripherals, and basic networking concepts.
- Experience with IT asset tracking, inventory management, equipment assignment, or hardware lifecycle support.
- Ability to support procurement-related tasks, including quote review, purchase request preparation, vendor communication, agreement review, and order tracking.
- Hands-on experience with Mac device setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and management through JAMF, IRU, or similar Apple device management tools.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and documentation habits.
- Ability to prioritize multiple requests, work independently, and escalate issues appropriately when needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting a corporate IT environment with both Windows and Apple devices.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, or other Microsoft 365 administration tools.
- Experience with ticketing systems, procurement systems, asset management platforms, or vendor management processes.
- Knowledge of Apple Business Manager, JAMF policies, configuration profiles, app deployment, device enrollment, FileVault, and Mac security settings.
- Exposure to IT compliance, software licensing, warranty management, lease tracking, or equipment replacement programs.
- Ability to create clear user instructions, internal documentation, checklists, and standard operating procedures.

Education and Experience
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Technology, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent hands-on IT support experience will also be considered. One to three years of related experience in IT support, asset management, procurement coordination, Apple device support, or a similar technical role is preferred.
