IT Support Technician / Junior Systems Administrator
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, software applications, and network connectivity issues.
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware and software systems.
- Support Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Create, modify, and manage user accounts in Active Directory.
- Assist with Windows Server administration and system maintenance.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and escalate complex problems when necessary.
- Manage and maintain printers, peripherals, and related equipment.
- Respond to help desk requests and document resolutions.
- Maintain accurate inventory and asset records.
- Collaborate with IT team members on projects, upgrades, and technology initiatives.
- Provide exceptional customer service to end users while meeting established service levels.
- Assist with technology support during special events and organizational initiatives.
Required
- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience providing desktop, help desk, or technical support.
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems and PC hardware.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting.
- Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Windows Server administration experience.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Familiarity with printer management and network-attached devices.
- Knowledge of scripting, automation, or basic web technologies.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, ITIL, or related certifications.
