JR Backend Engineer
We are seeking a growth-oriented Junior to Mid-Level Backend Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will focus on building, optimizing, and maintaining robust APIs and backend services. We are looking for someone who doesn't just write code, but possesses an innate curiosity for how things work, a strong knack for troubleshooting, and a drive to learn.
Crucially, we value efficiency and modern workflows. You should be comfortable utilizing AI-assisted development tools (like GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar) to accelerate your coding, debugging, and documentation processes while maintaining high code quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performing APIs.
- Debug and resolve complex technical issues across backend services.
- Integrate AI development tools into your daily workflow to optimize code generation, refactoring, and testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, focusing on readability, security, and performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 1–4 years of professional software development experience.
- Languages: Strong proficiency in at least one of the following: TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, or Python. Experience with GraphQL and AWS is preferred.
- Core Engineering: Strong understanding of RESTful API design, databases, and microservices architecture.
- Problem-Solving: Exceptional troubleshooting skills; a proactive "detective" mindset when bugs arise.
- AI-Driven Development: Practical familiarity with AI coding assistants and an understanding of how to prompt and validate AI-generated code effectively.
- Soft Skills: A strong desire to learn, adapt to new technologies, and communicate complex ideas clearly. Attention to detail is essential.
