Purpose

The Junior Analyst provides financial, administrative, and government relations support to the organization. The role assists in financial reporting, compliance activities, government transactions, and business operations to ensure accurate recordkeeping, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders. The position supports financial processes, documentation management, reporting activities, and government-related requirements across the business.

Nature & Scope

The Junior Analyst Reports to the designated Finance, Administration, or Functional Manager and supports finance, administration, and government relations functions within the organization. The role works closely with internal departments and government authorities to process permits, licenses, regulatory submissions, and compliance documentation.

The position is responsible for maintaining records, preparing reports, supporting audits, and monitoring financial and compliance-related activities. The incumbent utilizes Microsoft Office applications and may work with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar business platforms.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Financial Analysis & Reporting:
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and expense analyses.
  • Monitor expenditures and support cost-control initiatives.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support invoice processing, payment tracking, and reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Government Relations & Compliance:
  • Coordinate with government authorities and regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare and submit applications, permits, licenses, and official documentation.
  • Monitor submissions to ensure timely approvals and renewals.
  • Maintain records of government correspondence and compliance documents.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company requirements.
  • Liaise with internal departments to obtain information required for government transactions.
  • Administrative & Business Support:
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and business correspondence.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation systems.
  • Support audits and compliance reviews by providing required information and documentation.
  • Assist with data collection, recordkeeping, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support business objectives.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

Experience:

  • No prior experience required.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Internship or academic experience in finance, administration, or government relations is advantageous.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Basic knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms is an advantage.
