Junior Data Governance Analyst

We're partnering with a well-established organisation investing heavily in its enterprise data capability. This is an excellent opportunity for a Data Steward, Junior Data Analyst or Data Management professional to develop your skills across data governance, metadata, data quality and modern data platforms while working alongside experienced governance leaders.

You'll play a key role in improving the quality, accessibility and trust of enterprise data, working closely with business and technical stakeholders across the organisation.

Location: Sydney
Hybrid | 3 days/week in office
Salary: $100k-110k Base + Super + Bonus

Important - You MUST hold full working rights (i.e. Citizen, PR, natural pathway to PR)

What You'll Do

• Support the management of data catalogues, business glossaries and metadata.
• Assist with data quality monitoring, issue remediation and governance reporting.
• Help document data lineage, classification and governance processes.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, data owners and technical teams to improve data management practices.
• Contribute to governance standards, policies and compliance activities.
• Gain exposure to modern data governance tools and enterprise data platforms.

What You'll Bring

• 1–3 years' experience in Data Stewardship, Data Analysis or a similar data-focused role.
• An understanding of data governance, metadata management or data quality concepts.
• Exposure to SQL, data analysis or modern cloud data platforms is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage a range of stakeholders.
• A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with a genuine interest in building a career in Data Governance.
